How to fix text overflow in Datylon Text object?

What to do when you get the warning message: "Text overflow in Text object. Adjust text or chart area settings."

When you get the "Text overflow in Text object. Adjust text or chart area settings" warning you have several options to fix this:

1. Increase the size of the object area.

In Datylon for Illustrator, you can resize the object by dragging the handles like any Illustrator object.

In Datylon Report Studio go to Styling > General > Position and Size and increase the Width and/or Height of the object. Note this is only possible when creating the design. Once the design is created and saved, the size cannot be changed anymore.

2. Decrease the margins.

Go to Styling > General > Position and Size and decrease Margins

3. Use Fit option so that your font size will be adjusted to fit the size of the Text object area.

Go to Styling > Data > Text > Font and turn on the Fit checkbox

4. Decrease the font size manually.

Go to Styling > Data > Text > Font > Size

5. Decrease Leading, Tracking and/or Paragraph Spacing.

Go to Styling > Data > Text.

Paragraph spacing sets the interval between paragraphs. All text in one cell in the data sheet represents a paragraph in the Datylon Text object.

Leading sets spacing between adjacent lines of text.

Tracking sets the interval between individual characters in a line.
